This is what the tail end of Noble Fir needle (Abies procera) oil looks like.  The blue color indicates the presence of azulene.  This finished product is lighter in color, because the earlier oils are lighter in color.

Hello, I have an ambleic copper still. I have only distilled herbs and plants, never conifer. I'm wondering if once distilling conifer can the still only be used fof conifer thereafter? I guess what I'm asking is, will distilling pine or spruce or fir, make my still unuseable for herbs and plants? Do distillers only use certain still for conifers?

Can herbs be distilled in a copper still after distilling conifer?
