Distilling Essential Oils is a passion for many. Distillers use a wide variety of equipment. Some distillers use traditional Alembic distillers for making Hydrosols and Essential Oils. Percent Yield

There are many variables which will determine the percent yield you will get from your raw material. Growing conditions, harvest time (including time of day), condition of the material (dry or fresh), distillation time etc. Here's a useful guide which can tell you what you may expect to obtain from your distillations.
